Diwali Sandhya 2026 Details
Diwali (Deepavali) is a major five-day Hindu festival of lights (typically celebrated in October/November), symbolizing the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
Mi Marathi Newcastle Group celebrates Diwali Sandhya in a very traditional manner, where the entire program is conducted in Marathi. This is the only Diwali program in Newcastle Upon Tyne that features Marathi natak (theatre) along with beautiful traditional Marathi dance forms.
The narration of the entire program is a major attraction, filled with fun, laughter, and meaningful social messages for the community. Along with dramas, dances, and singing, attendees also enjoy a delicious feast of authentic Maharashtrian cuisine.
